Yechiel N. Berkowicz, M.D.
Dr. Berkowicz received his medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Psi Chi, and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Societies. Dr. Berkowicz completed his residency at Lutheran General Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Berkowicz has received an AMA Physician Recognition Award and has previously served as Past President of the Buffalo Grove Chapter of the American Cancer Society. He is a Member of the American Society of Internal Medicine and the American College of Physicians. His personal interests include Krav_Maga and Karate.

Dr. Goldstein received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Societies. Dr. Goldstein completed his residency at Lutheran General Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Goldstein enjoys skiing with his family, exercising, reading novels, and is a big fan of the Chicago Bears and Indiana University basketball.

Eric J. Yegelwel, M.D.
Dr. Yegelwel received his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois Hospital. Dr. Yegelwel completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Loyola University Medical Center/Hines Veterans Administration Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Yegelwel is the Chief of the Gastroenterology Section at Northwest Community Hospital. He has authored two articles in The American Journal of Gastroenterology and The Journal of Digestive Diseases and Sciences. Dr. Yegelwel enjoys running, reading, taking trips with his family, and walking his dog.

Diane M. Flershem, M.D.
Dr. Flershem received her medical degree from Rush Medical College. She completed her internal medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She also studied anesthesiology at New York Hospital-Cornell University. Dr. Flershem is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She has earned an Honors College Scholarship for Research Investigation and is an author of one article published in Lancet. Dr. Flershem received the Patients Choice Award in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Only 4-5% of doctors nationwide receive this award. She also received the Compassionate Doctor Award for 2010 where only 3% of nation's physicians were honored. Dr. Flershem loves zoos, her two dogs, and going on trips to New York and Arizona with her friends.

Peggie Fruhbauer, D.O.
Dr. Fruhbauer received her medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at John H. Stroger Cook County Hospital/Rush University in 2010. Dr. Fruhbauer is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is a Wisconsin native who enjoys traveling, running, yoga and studying the Spanish language and culture. Dr. Fruhbauer speaks Spanish fluently.

Lisa McCloskey, P.A.-C
Lisa is a Certified Physician Assistant and a graduate of Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychological Services from Northwestern University. Lisa is a skilled professional trained to take medical histories, perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret lab tests. Her interests include swimming, traveling outside of the U.S., shopping for sales, and college football.

Erin Patrick, P.A.
Erin Patrick is our newest Physician Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Lycoming in Pennsylvania. She attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2008 as a Physician Assistant. Erin joined our practice in February 2010. Besides being a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, she enjoys swimming and sailing in her free time.
